Our Baby Room is thoughtfully designed to support the youngest members of The Mount Nursery. Inspired by a train station theme, it features a climbing frame train and station clock, creating a playful yet nurturing environment. With a focus on comfort, security, and early exploration, our dedicated team ensures every baby feels safe, engaged, and valued.
A Home Away from Home
Our Baby Room is a warm, home-like space designed to provide comfort and security. With cosy areas, natural materials, and a rich sensory environment, babies feel safe, valued, and encouraged to explore.
We stimulate early development through a variety of sensory experiences, including sounds, sights, and textures. Black and white sensory resources support visual development in young babies, while a mix of soft fabrics, natural wooden toys, and gentle sounds engage their senses, spark curiosity, and build confidence.
Child-Centred Care
At The Mount Nursery, our philosophy is rooted in child-centred care, where love, attention, and strong, nurturing relationships form the foundation of every baby’s development. Our experienced team provides personalised support, ensuring each child feels secure, valued, and able to thrive.
Consistency and routine are key to helping babies feel safe and settled. We work closely with families to maintain familiar sleep, feeding, and play patterns, creating a seamless bridge between home and nursery. Clear and open communication ensures parents are always informed, allowing us to adapt to each baby’s evolving needs while fostering independence, confidence, and a strong sense of belonging.
Discovering the World
At The Mount Nursery, we prioritise creating experiences that inspire curiosity and wonder as babies begin to explore their surroundings. Our outdoor spaces, including a decked area and astroturf, provide a safe and stimulating environment for movement and play.
Babies also enjoy access to the school’s field, where they can take in fresh air and explore the changing seasons. Peaceful pram strolls through our gardens on quiet afternoons allow them to connect with nature in a calm and nurturing setting.
