Introducing The Mount Parents Knowledge Hub

A Knowledge Hub for parents, with practical answers on education, childhood, confidence, AI and preparing children for the future.

Being a parent comes with plenty of questions. How do I choose the right school? How can I build my child’s confidence? How much screen time is too much? Should my child be learning about AI? What should I look for in a nursery? Is independent education worth it?

That is why we have created the Parents Knowledge Hub, a growing collection of practical articles answering the questions parents are asking about education, learning and childhood.

We have already created more than 75 articles, intending to reach 100 before the end of 2026.

Answering the questions parents are asking

The Knowledge Hub covers everything from choosing a school, nursery and prep education to confidence, friendships, learning at home and preparing children for the future.

We also explore some of the bigger questions facing families today. How should children use AI? Is school teaching them everything they will need for the future? How important is STEM? Should children learn practical skills, financial education and entrepreneurship?

For families moving to the area, we have also created a collection of guides covering living in Huddersfield, including where to live, local schools and things to do with children.

The aim is to give you useful information that helps you make informed decisions for your child and your family.

Education goes far beyond the classroom

At The Mount, we believe academic achievement is an important part of a much broader education. Confidence, communication, creativity, friendships, practical ability, financial understanding, resilience and discovering what you enjoy all matter too.

Children learn these things in many different places. Parents, grandparents, sports coaches, music teachers, family friends and the wider community can all contribute. Learning might happen while cooking a meal, joining a sports team, repairing a bicycle, visiting somewhere new, learning an instrument or even starting a small business.

The Knowledge Hub explores how you can create more of these opportunities without feeling that you need to become your child's teacher.

Rethinking education for the future

The world our children are growing into is changing quickly. AI and technology are already influencing how we work, communicate and solve problems, which raises important questions about what today's children will need as adults.

Our Rethinking Education section explores AI, STEM, financial education, entrepreneurship, practical skills, homeschooling and the wider skills children may need for the future.

We certainly don't claim to have every answer. We do believe these are important questions for schools and families to be asking.

Over 75 articles and growing

There are already more than 75 articles to explore, and we're continuing to add to the Knowledge Hub with a target of more than 100 by the end of the year.

We would also love parents to help shape what comes next. If there is something you've found yourself searching Google or asking ChatGPT about your child's education or development, let us know. There is every chance another parent is wondering exactly the same thing.

Everything ultimately comes back to why The Mount exists: we exist to make childhood unforgettable.

Children only get one childhood. We want to help them fill it with learning, confidence, curiosity, friendships, new experiences and opportunities to discover who they are and what they love.

Whether your child attends The Mount or not, we hope the Parents Knowledge Hub helps you make their childhood that little bit more extraordinary.
