Throughout the year, your child can take part in a huge variety of clubs, performances, competitions, sporting activities, trips and community events that help them discover new interests, develop new skills and create lasting friendships.

Many of these experiences bring families together too, because we believe school should be something the whole family enjoys being part of.

Sport & Adventure

From competitive team sports and swimming lessons to outdoor challenges and adventurous activities, our Sport & Adventure programme helps children discover what they are capable of. We believe confidence is built through participation, perseverance and trying something new. Whether representing the school, learning a new skill or stepping outside their comfort zone, every child is encouraged to embrace challenge, celebrate progress and enjoy the thrill of achievement.

Bikeability

The Bikeability team comes into school to teach children practical cycling and road safety skills, helping them become safer and more confident riders both on and off the road.

Swimming Lessons

Children travel by coach to local swimming facilities where they learn everything from water safety to swimming technique. As one of life's most important skills, swimming forms a key part of the Mount experience and is included within school fees.

Tennis Sessions

Children are taken to the local tennis club for specialist coaching, learning everything from basic technique to match play. Like so many opportunities at The Mount, these sessions are included within school fees.

Interhouse Sports Competitions

Working alongside Project Sport, children are coached by sports professionals before representing their houses in competitions throughout the year, from football and netball to rounders and more.

Sports Day & Prize Giving

Sports Day transforms the school into a festival of sport, colour and excitement, with races, challenges, house competitions and proud moments that bring children and families together.

Residential Trips

Ask many Mount pupils about their favourite memories and residential trips will be near the top of the list. From outdoor adventures to evenings spent laughing with friends, these are experiences children talk about long after they've returned home.

Music, Drama & Performance

Every child deserves a stage on which to shine. Through music, drama, LAMDA, performances and creative arts opportunities, children develop confidence, self-expression and a love of creativity. From their first appearance in front of an audience to leading roles and musical showcases, these experiences help children find their voice, build resilience and create memories that stay with them long after they leave The Mount.

LAMDA

LAMDA (London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art) helps children develop public speaking, performance and communication skills through drama, poetry, acting and speaking examinations.

Music Recitals

Throughout the year, children perform for family and friends, showcasing the progress they've made and experiencing the excitement of performing in front of an audience.

Peripatetic Music Lessons

From piano and guitar to drums, brass and woodwind instruments, children can learn with visiting specialist music teachers and develop a lifelong love of music.

Assembly Performances

Each class regularly takes centre stage, sharing projects, performances and learning with the wider school community.

The Mount's Got Talent

Whether it's singing, dancing, magic, comedy, gymnastics or something completely unexpected, children love stepping into the spotlight and showing what makes them unique.

Whole School Christmas Performance

One of the highlights of the year, where children fill the stage with music, drama and festive excitement while families pack the audience to watch.

STEM, Creativity & Academic Enrichment

Curiosity sits at the heart of learning. Our STEM, creativity and enrichment opportunities encourage children to think differently, ask questions and explore ideas beyond the classroom. Whether designing, building, experimenting, coding or solving problems, children are given opportunities to challenge themselves, develop new interests and discover talents they never knew they had.

STEM Experiences

Children explore science, technology, engineering and maths through hands-on projects that encourage problem solving, creativity and curiosity.

Primary Maths Challenge

Children who enjoy stretching their mathematical thinking can take part in national challenges designed to test reasoning, logic and problem-solving skills.

Writing Competitions

Young writers are encouraged to unleash their imagination through stories, poetry and creative writing, sharing their work and seeing what they can achieve.

Book Fair

Our Book Fairs bring hundreds of exciting books into school, encouraging children to discover new authors, genres and stories that spark a lifelong love of reading.

World Book Day

One of the most popular days of the year, with costumes, themed activities, quizzes and plenty of opportunities for children to celebrate their favourite books and characters.

Financial Education & Money Management

Older pupils learn practical money skills, helping them understand budgeting, saving and the financial decisions they will face later in life.

Leadership & Character

Great education is about more than academic success. Through leadership opportunities, pupil voice initiatives, teamwork and responsibility, children learn the values that will serve them throughout life. Head Boy & Head Girl Elections

Children campaign, present their ideas and vote, giving them first-hand experience of leadership, responsibility and pupil voice.

Harvest Festival Collection
